Freebird Posted November 6, 2010 #1 Posted November 6, 2010 I just installed an update to Tapatalk. I know that some of you Iphone and Blackberry users use it. They just released Tapatalk 2.0 which is supposed to fix a few bugs. I have already installed it here on the forum but the release notes say that an update on YOUR end is needed to realize the fixes to some of the bugs. So, if you are using Tapatalk, you might want to upgrade to the latest version.
friesman Posted November 7, 2010 #3 Posted November 7, 2010 I did the upgrade on my stormII and its ok but no big deal. Would be handy when travelllimg on the bike. This is from tapatalk on BB. Brian.

etcswjoe Posted November 7, 2010 #6 Posted November 7, 2010 What is Tapatalk ? Brad It's a smart phone app. I think I am the last person in the world that has a cell phone that you make and receive calls on.
Freebird Posted November 7, 2010 Author #7 Posted November 7, 2010 Brad, Tapatalk is a plugin that some folks use to access the forum from their Iphones, Blackberries, etc. It brings up the site in a different format to make it easier to navigate with those smaller screens. I added it here at the request of some of the members. I do use a Blackberry but have not personally tried it.
Owen Posted November 7, 2010 #8 Posted November 7, 2010 I notice a couple small changes on the iPhone 4. I will look into it deeper. iPhone * Tapatalk
Freebird Posted November 7, 2010 Author #9 Posted November 7, 2010 I don't think you'll find anything major. Sounds like mostly bug fixes. Here is a post from the Tapatalk forum owners area. Most of the new features need the app side to follow-up, plus few bug fixes. New features include Full Moderation, Admob, and improve support with Windows Phone 7 and WebOS app" - Full moderation support - Added Reply-All in Private Messaging - Special characters login issue fixes - Fixed post content not displayed if characters like " We are also working on the rewrite of attachment support to include multiple attachment and ability to upload any file (given the forum supports it), would be handy to share video or PDF files on the go (probably only works in Android). This will be included in next release.
Owen Posted November 7, 2010 #10 Posted November 7, 2010 http://tapa.tk/mu/6392ff3a-aef8-08af.jpg Photos upload nicely. Adding more file types would be good. The photos are not served from photo-bucket. I wonder how long they will stay active and how the poster can manage them. iPhone * Tapatalk

LilBeaver Posted November 7, 2010 #14 Posted November 7, 2010 You're not alone Joe..... :backinmyday: +1 to that Posted using the ye 'ol tapakeys.
friesman Posted November 7, 2010 #15 Posted November 7, 2010 What's the advantage to using the BB internet browser? It takes the info from the forum and makes it easier to deal with the small format viewing screen. an example is that you dont get the side columns, its mostly simplifies the view so you can get to the posts real quick, auto login and all. BTW tapatalk is still free at blackberry AppWorld, but I am sure as soon as they get a bunch of forums on this format, they will start charging for tapatalk like they do for the iphone version. Brian
Condor Posted November 7, 2010 #16 Posted November 7, 2010 UMMM What's a Cell Phone??????? They've been around for years. They hang on the wall and you can only make a collect call once a week.....
