Loaded for Bear

I spent last Saturday at the camp loaded for Bear. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst on Halloween weekend. The norm is local rif raf upsetting bus houses and raising hell. I wanted to make sure my camp was secure plus my first gen,ton truck, and the John Deer is still there.

 

I was setting out on the porch Saturday evening with the Mossberg 500 loaded nearby and my front line defense Venture our 20lb snauzzer and his backup Big Rig his 12 lb sidekick. When all of a sudden here they come. Tresspassers dressed in black and meaning business. Two strangers walking across the lawn on a mission. The dogs raising hell ready for action surrounded those two Mormon Missionairies in short order. I LMAO had to call off the dogs and everything.

Should take their pictures while on your property, and have them on hand in case anything does happen..

 

This way you can tell them you will turn their pictures over to the police if anything does happen....... whether they did it or not.... they would have to prove their whereabouts to the police..and prove they werent on our property.

A friend of mine repelled some teenage miscreates with a 12 guage and some rock salt a few years back.

They:crying: didn't come back.

don't know if he actually hit them or not but I'm sure they were "packin their shorts" on the way back home!

Had another friend shoot his mailbox off the post as kids were sticking all kinds of things in it for him to find. So he waited till they were 50 or so feet away and gave them something to think about visually. They didn't come back either.

It was worth a $12 mailbox to make the point.

 

They both live in the country... don't know how this would have turned out in the city...

A 12ga works in the city also.

I once use that loaded with rubber pellets to repel some misguided youths that were trying to break into my 3 week new Suburban.

After that I did not even see a teen walk past the house for almost 3 years, and I'm 3 blocks from the hi skool.

Back on the farm,,, that's years ago,,, our neighbor used to have some youths come over to dump his two seater over every year. He'd wait for them, then fire off his shot gun and go to bed. This became a ritual, went on for years,,, they almost got to know each other. Worked out good for him, because that was also the time to clean out the pit, so he didn't have to move it the first time, and it was well enough bulit to withstand the abuse. Then one year, the day of, he moved it forward to sit in front of the pit. He waited for the appointed time sitting at his open bedroom window as was usual, heard the rustling in the trees, pulled back both hammers on the blunderbuss, heard 'splash?' the cursing and cussing, fired off both rounds, (into the air of course) and went to bed. He never had them come back again!!!, sad, it was going so well!!!!!!

I have five large dogs of questionable lineage but they all will let me know if there is someone close to my acreage. God bless these dogs! This gives me plenty of time to arm myself. I don't know weather Mormons or Seventh Day Adventists are included on my hunting license so I would not take them down. Probably tough meat anyway!
