Guest scarylarry Posted November 4, 2010 #1 Posted November 4, 2010 I found a 2002 midnight, I'm wondering how hard would and can it be done, to replace the seats with pillow top seats drivers and passenger and the back rest on the passenger, how hard is that to remove...
Freebird Posted November 4, 2010 #2 Posted November 4, 2010 They will bolt right on. All seats are interchangeable from 1999 through the current models. All you have to do is find the pillow top seat and backrest. The backrest is very easy to remove. If I remember correctly, it's only held on by three bolts through the trunk.
Eck Posted November 4, 2010 #3 Posted November 4, 2010 Need to remove two nuts on drivers seat...and then remove two nuts on passenger seat.. very simple.. If you need help give me a call or come on over. or I may be able to come to your place. I'd be happy to change them out for you.
Guest scarylarry Posted November 4, 2010 #4 Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks, the seats are a breeze which I knew it was that back rest was the question, I'm at work and arguing over one on e-bay... I need to know I could remove the backrest off the trunk without alot of work involved... Again thanks.

Guest scarylarry Posted November 4, 2010 #10 Posted November 4, 2010 Did you get rid of the 09? No I found a midnight, at what might be a bargain I just hate the stud seats and the style seat of that year...I'll keep the 09 for many moons to come...

jimacker Posted November 4, 2010 #12 Posted November 4, 2010 hey guys, new to the forum. Does anyone know how the seats have changed from 99 until now? I need a soft ride because I have a bad back. I noticed at a dealership the seat on the 08 was much softer than the 02 I looked at. Was this aftermarket? or did they make improvements? Also, any recommendations on soft, comfortable aftermarket seats? Thanks
sarges46 Posted November 5, 2010 #13 Posted November 5, 2010 hey guys, new to the forum. Thanks Early models had the hard seat only. Then a little later the midnights had the hard seat and the other models had the pillow top seat. The brandy new ones all have the pillow top I believe. It is softer but I dont think enough. Rick Butler can do a mod for your hard seat that will work wonders for the tail bone. Also get a back rest if you dont have one. It works great. Then of course there are many other seat makers that can do one for the RSV....I am having a moment and cant think of a single one right now!!
