Art708 Posted November 3, 2010 #1 Posted November 3, 2010 I told the dealer that I'd give them my old Jaguar and my Valk for a blue/black '07 RSV. They called this afternoon and said that they'd take the deal. If the rain allows it I'll go in the morning and make the trade. The Jag needs some work and so does the Valk so I think I'll be coming out ahead.......until I start missing the Valkyrie again, then who knows what I'll do.
Sleeperhawk Posted November 3, 2010 #2 Posted November 3, 2010 Here goes the revolving door again :rotf: Really hope you like the RSV

When you ride the RSV you won't miss the honda
RandyR Posted November 4, 2010 #8 Posted November 4, 2010 btw, there is a recall on certain serial number 07's for incorrectly torqued engine bolts. If buying an 07, have the serial number checked to see if it needs this warranty work.
Art708 Posted November 4, 2010 Author #9 Posted November 4, 2010 When you ride the RSV you won't miss the honda Not totally true...... I traded off an '09 RSV for the Honda. If I could have found a Valk Interstate closeby that I could have gotten I'd have it instead of the RSV.

We saw a Valk Rune in Blairsville this weekend with all the Corbin stuff on it, I think that's what you need http://www.valkyrienorway.com/honda-valkyrie-rune.jpg
traildawg626 Posted November 4, 2010 #11 Posted November 4, 2010 I have the 07... tell the dealer you want the remaining 2 years of the free warranty! Also, if you change out the leveling links... it will be a smoother ride and it won't be top heavy anymore! Enjoy you new bike!
gibvel Posted November 4, 2010 #12 Posted November 4, 2010 have found a Valk Interstate closeby that I could have gotten I'd have it instead of the RSV. Just wait until you find the Valk Interstate that you want!!
Art708 Posted November 4, 2010 Author #13 Posted November 4, 2010 Ok...I got the '07 RSV this morning. It's in great condition...only 10,000 miles on it. BUT.....it has the whine big time. I called my Yammy dealer and he checked and I'm good on warranty until 7-17-13. So I'm headed there tomorrow to see if I can get an I-basket ordered and installed. This bike seems to ride better than my '09 did....maybe it'll be a good one.
Wolf Posted November 4, 2010 #14 Posted November 4, 2010 Congrats on the new bike! What is this whine I keep hearing about? I have yet to hear a whine or a chirp.
Art708 Posted November 4, 2010 Author #15 Posted November 4, 2010 Congrats on the new bike! What is this whine I keep hearing about? I have yet to hear a whine or a chirp. I know....my '09 was very quiet. I was wondering what the whine thing was...now I know.
Sleeperhawk Posted November 4, 2010 #16 Posted November 4, 2010 Congrats on the new bike! What is this whine I keep hearing about? I have yet to hear a whine or a chirp. You have to ride your bike to hear it.
