vegastruckee Posted October 28, 2010 #26 Posted October 28, 2010 I just became a member of this site and a proud owner of a 2003 RSV. I bought the bike 3 weeks ago and it had 53000 miles on it for $5500 (I think it was a good deal) and now it has almost 53800 miles:680: The bike seems very solid and in no way was I concerned with the amount of mileage. Like said in a previous post, I think letting these bikes sit is harder on them than actually putting miles on them. My dad comes into town in a couple weeks and we are going to tear it down and replace all fluids and grease everything. Ill keep ya posted of what we find but I think the bike has a good 150000 miles left at least. Good luck with your search and I am sure you will be more than pleased with whatever you find.

Your right about letting them sit not being good for them.I bought my 99 in july this year with 41000 miles on it,for $5700.00, It had set around for most of the previous 2years.It ran like crap at first.Had to do a lot of maintenence to get her running like she should.Have 44000 on her now and running much better thanks to all the how to advise I found here.Look at it this way humbucker even if you don't like your new venture at least you have all these great folks her to thank.
