Trader Posted October 24, 2010 #1 Posted October 24, 2010 First: I was looking thru the calendar to see what events were planned thru the winter. With dozens of birthdays every month, the events tend to get lost. Any chance the events could be bolded or highlighted or coloured so they stand out? I know there is an icon...but these old eyes don't pick that out as easily. No biggie....just a thought. 2nd....I"m probably just missing it because it seems so obvious a need......Is there a link to show SENT PM's? If there is I can't find it!
Freebird Posted October 24, 2010 #2 Posted October 24, 2010 As for the PMs, yes, just go to your private messages. There is a box just above the list of messages that says "Folder Controls". There is a drop down menu there. Click on the arrow and select "sent PMs". As for the calendar, I'll have to take a look and see if I can do anything. I understand your comments and agree but don't know yet what it will take to change it.
Freebird Posted October 24, 2010 #3 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm trying an experiment. Don't know how popular it will be with the members but we'll see. I've removed the birthdays from the calendar. Does anybody look at the calendar for the birthdays? They will still show up at the bottom of the forum but not on the calendar. That does make it easier to see all the other events. Opinions are welcome. I can change it back to the way it was very quickly.
Brake Pad Posted October 24, 2010 #4 Posted October 24, 2010 Freebird, How about just changing the FONT COLOR on the EVENTS so they stand out better...????... Birthday, Brake Pad 7 25 Event, November 6th M&E:confused24:

Birthday, Brake Pad 7 25 Event, November 6th M&E:confused24: More or less what I had in mind when I suggested making the events stand out. Unless this is Don's way of making the impossible possible! (can't highlight, colour or bold so just give us a new calendar)
Freebird Posted October 24, 2010 #6 Posted October 24, 2010 It's just not that easy. The code treats the birthdays as an event just like the other events. It would take some major rewriting of the program to make that change. I have changed it though by creating a separate calendar for birthdays. I've posted a new thread in the watering hole explaining the new feature. Birthdays are now removed from the default calendar. There is now a separate calendar if you want to see the upcoming birthdays.
