KeithR Posted October 24, 2010 #1 Posted October 24, 2010 Has anyone replaced the lid supports on a Piggybacker? Mine has those flat metal strips that are not too stable. I was thinking of getting some of those hood supports.....same as the ones on a truck cap door. Or did they have them on there before and were trouble? Just looking for a winter project.... Thanks Keith
Kregerdoodle Posted October 24, 2010 #2 Posted October 24, 2010 I have thought about adding them to my Piggy Backer also, I thought I had seen a pic of some ones with them on it, but can`t find it..

Thanks Keith if you are going to go with the gas struts this may be of intrest to you this is what i have on my lid for my trailer its the same as the piggybacker lid good luck dray The "N" on struts stands for "Newtons", as in Newtons of force. One Newton equals 0.225 pounds of force. That's where the 15.7 lbs came from on the lift rating of your struts. 70 x .225 = 15.7.
