KeithR Posted October 23, 2010 #2 Posted October 23, 2010 I plan to pick up a couple of those today........one of my sheep skins took flight this summer. For that price they are worth a try. Thanks for the link Keith
Marcarl Posted October 23, 2010 #3 Posted October 23, 2010 I know they call it a gel seat, but it actually is not, it's an air seat, it has air pockets in it, not gel. I suppose we could call them on it, but hey, I have a gel and am not happy with it and this is the one that folks are saying works well and for 10 bucks, it's worth a try.
chabicheka Posted October 23, 2010 #4 Posted October 23, 2010 i have been using one, and am quite happy with it....so is my 'bum'
Beau-Kat Posted October 23, 2010 #5 Posted October 23, 2010 I have one exactly like that. I bought mine at Walmart a couple of years ago for around 10 bucks or so. I really like it just fine. Can't beat the function for the price. I actually use it more than my airhawk cushion.
Trader Posted October 23, 2010 #6 Posted October 23, 2010 I "ass"ume that when you sit on it it just folds over the edges of the seat...but when the extra folds over, wouldn't it rub on the side case or tank cover? No rub damage caused? What do you do with it when parked away from home? Does it tie on somehow?
mrich12000 Posted October 23, 2010 #7 Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks! Off to Wendy's then to Crappy to get two..
abnormalwon Posted October 23, 2010 #8 Posted October 23, 2010 Everyone has had varying success and failure with added cushions, recently I was introduced to the Aqua -Air Cushion. These were originally designed for medical situations like wheelchairs and such but have been used alot for bikers. I can tell you that these things are incredible, they are fully adjustable based an amount of water as well as air added. Any one else tried one of these? Don't have the link but you can google 'aqua-air cushion' and it should pop up. All the best, norm

No rub damage caused? What do you do with it when parked away from home? Does it tie on somehow? Doesn't rub on anything. Held on by gravity and a cute little butt. (Mary's not mine) Through it in the trunk when not being used. Except for once. That one got lost going down the hwy.
Carbon_One Posted October 24, 2010 #11 Posted October 24, 2010 I bought a pair of them yesterday while attending the G-daughters hockey tourney. Was going to post this up tonight but Gary beat me to it. For $10 you can't go wrong. That's a $30 savings since they normally cost $40. Larry
Evan Posted October 24, 2010 #12 Posted October 24, 2010 I "ass"ume that when you sit on it it just folds over the edges of the seat...but when the extra folds over, wouldn't it rub on the side case or tank cover? --- No rub damage caused? This is a good point. For me, while it didn't rub on side, it did force me to sit in a less comfortable riding position and I could no longer put my feet flat on the ground until I cut the gel with scissors so it fit the top of my seat. Very easy to cut and works very well. No need to cut or sew anything but the inside gel pad.
BradT Posted October 25, 2010 #13 Posted October 25, 2010 Through it in the trunk when not being used. Except for once. That one got lost going down the hwy. Did you even see it go ? Brad
BradT Posted October 26, 2010 #15 Posted October 26, 2010 Nope! Didn't think so. Forgot only once eh ! One of these days I am going to loose that CB Mic cord on the back seat. Brad
