kenw Posted October 21, 2010 #1 Posted October 21, 2010 I need some help from you folks---I have reached the point with my State farm Homeowners Insurance where I have to start taking names, documenting my problems, and walking up the ladder. Other than keeping all you informed, I need to know the politically correct of climbing the corporate ladder on this ! I know some of yoou are insurance savvy and need your advice ( my problem is roof related). Your respnse would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks !!!
Black Owl Posted October 21, 2010 #2 Posted October 21, 2010 Start with the claims manager... Then go to the regional manager,,, and, if all else fails, contact the insurance commisioners office.
Guest Tinman Posted October 21, 2010 #3 Posted October 21, 2010 Try climbing the ladder all the way to the insurance commisioner, like it was suggested. Once you get the problem solved, you might think about going to USAA for your insurance on the house. I've been their customer since 1979, and they've always treated me very well. Just a thought...
Yammer Dan Posted October 21, 2010 #4 Posted October 21, 2010 Insurance?? I thought this was a PG site.....
sarges46 Posted October 22, 2010 #5 Posted October 22, 2010 Whatever you do dont ask Yammer for advice!! Oops...too late! Good wishes for a successful conclusion.
MikeWa Posted October 22, 2010 #6 Posted October 22, 2010 When I have had problems with my insurance company my agent has always interceded on my behalf and gotten things resolved. Has your agent been unable or unwilling to help? Mike
slick97spirit Posted October 22, 2010 #7 Posted October 22, 2010 Talking to your agent and giving him an opportunity to rectify the situation should always be your first step. You or agent should then ask to speak with the adjusters supervisor. Just keep going higher all the way to the commish. Make sure you yell the company you intend to call the insurance commissioners office as that will sometimes motivate them to act. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
