Is this part for a first Gen?

I recieved this from a friend and not sure what it goes to.

Nope, I don't recognize it from either mk1 or mk2.

I've seen foot pegs that look like that on a sport bike that was stopped at a light beside me.

I have seen the same configuration that is in the right picture at a Harley dealer.

 

We were ta a dealer this summer for demo rides and one of the bikes in the showroom had the same metal extender on the bottom of the foot peg.

 

i don't remember if it was a Harley or may be a Buell.

Looks like a right side Honda Foot Peg. GF's Shadow Spirit has one just like this.
