Just yesterday I got on the bike and after about 15-20 min I realized that there wasn't any noise coming out of the headset. Oops forgot to turn on the radio.

As soon as I noticed I realized just how much I enjoy riding that it takes me 20 min to realize that all I'm listening to is the sound of the ride. (and yes, I had a smile on my face the entire time.)

After trying more than a few muffler combinations on my 99 over the years trying to get that perfect sound, I finally got it with a used pair of Bub Mad Dogs off of Ebay about 4 years ago. I haven't used my sound system since. The sweet sound of that big V4 in 5th gear is all the music I need whether it's a 5 mile or 500 mile ride.

I've loaded an mp3 player with about 5 hours of my favorite tunes. But I seldom listen to them while riding.
