Need Help with Zumo 660

Does anyone know how to turn off the media player on this device? I have looked everywhere and tried everything I can think of, but once the player is turned on...it stays on. I can mute it...no problem there, but I want to stop it. Appreciate any help.

If you want to get rid of that pesky little icon, fall in love with it, it's easier.

My Street 550 has a square 'stop' touch pad along with play/forward/and reverse arrows on the main player screen. Hit the square to stop playing and then go back to the map. The MP3 player is always ready in the background, but who cares??

The 660 is about the same as Condor stated.

hit the music symbol and get to the area for forward and just pause it and it will be in the background but not running.

I had the same thing happen to me and screwed around for 1/2 hour to find it.

If you don't like the blue color, set up the fuel gauge on it, then when you run low on fuel it will change to a red gas pump symbol,, now don't reset the fuel gauge or it will go back to the music player.

The only way I have found to remove the music/media player icon on the map screen is to delete all song files off of the Zumo 660 memory cards.

Maybe just as easy to get a new card, and put that in. That way you now have two cards. I tried to boot mine without a card, hoping to accomplish the same results, but when I put the original one back in the icon was back.
