camos Posted November 8, 2010 #26 Posted November 8, 2010 If you get 30K miles off those tires, then you are the king of tire life. I will stay with what works for me. Remember, we are talking about a Virago here which is much lighter than your other bikes. Anyway, 30K is just a guess relative to the insignificant wear after 9K while commuting one up. Just putting this into perspective but in any case, what works for you is always a good bet.
rod Posted November 8, 2010 #27 Posted November 8, 2010 Dunlap 491 one size taller were my tire of choice but they discontinued them. The taller tire helps the RPM at highway speeds. I now have the Metzler 888 I like the handling but don't know the mileage yet. The taller tire really helps, try it you will like it. Rod
