scope59 Posted October 9, 2010 #1 Posted October 9, 2010 Just installed motolights on front caliper now have no front brakes. Lever is extremely soft. Brake lights do work. Any ideas? Steve
paysaw Posted October 9, 2010 #2 Posted October 9, 2010 Hi.did you losen any of the banjo bolts on the front brakes? If you did you let air into your brake system.Your brakes may only need to be bled.
V7Goose Posted October 9, 2010 #3 Posted October 9, 2010 If you took the calipers off, then you almost certainly have the ear of at least one pad hung up on the top rail. When this happens it gets bent back and the pad cannot slide on the rail to move up to the disc. Generally all will be fine if you simply bend the ear back flat and get them installed correctly. scope59 Posted October 9, 2010 Author #4 Posted October 9, 2010 Added a washer to bring the lights a hair away from the calipers. Apparently the right front was pushing the caliper. Everything is good now. Just couldn't tell last night in the poor lighting and with old eyes. Thanks, Steve
