Dont get me wrong I love my 1st Gen but maintenance is starting to be an issue on a 20 yr old bike. I like working on stuff but lately issues keep popping up and it gets expensive and want to ride more then work on it. Your not going to save any money on an old bike. Dont ask how I know...

Not a bad idea, especially seeing that as good a bikes as the LT are, their prices drop quite a bit used.
