Recommended Vacume Bleeders?

The only thing that I would suggest as better... Speedbleeders.

The only plus of the vacuum bleeder is that you can use it over and over for any brake system... as long as you spend the money for a good one. Some people will get lucky and use a $40 one over and over but it seems that most get one or two uses before they fail.

The problem I found with the hand vacuum bleeders you are speaking of is the holding container is so small you have to constantly stop and empty it..

I bought a plastic Tupperware container with a snap on lid..then bought three different size vacuum line connectors (to match the sizes of different bike bleeder valves), Then I drilled three small holes in the plastic lid. I then snugly installed the vacuum line connectors into the small holes and then sealed the inside and outside around the line connectors with RTV silicone sealant and let it dry over night.

I can now hook up the vacuum bleeder to one of the connectors on the lid, I then hook up a clear vacuum line from the container lid to the bike bleeder (depending on which size diameter), and I PLUG/CAP OFF the third connector that may be a different size then the bike bleeder valve I am working with.

When you start pumping your hand held vacuum bleeder, you are creating a vacuum inside the Tupperware container..you loosen the bike bleeder and all you need is someone to keep pouring fresh brake fluid into the master cylinder as you continue to vacuum all the old out. You can do this in a continuing motion with the aid of another person filling the master cylinder and it only takes a few minutes to complete the entire flush out.

You don't have to constantly stop and empty the small holding container on the hand vacuum pump..:thumbsup2:
