wes0778 Posted October 4, 2010 #1 Posted October 4, 2010 Larry, When you and "T" went out to cover your scoot Saturday night, did either of you take my bike for a spin? When I started out of the parking lot Sunday morning, I noticed the "MAX SPEED" entry on my Garmin was 141mph!!!!!!! Yeah I should have taken a picture of it...
etcswjoe Posted October 4, 2010 #2 Posted October 4, 2010 It's either a fast bike or Garmin is wrong my 2610 says I have been up to 145
Kregerdoodle Posted October 4, 2010 #3 Posted October 4, 2010 Walt, good thing you didn`t shift to 5th!!!
Jus Monkeyin Around Posted October 4, 2010 #4 Posted October 4, 2010 2nd Gens can not go that fast........
Brake Pad Posted October 4, 2010 #5 Posted October 4, 2010 I've been up to 113, it felt like the bike was going to fall apart:confused24:
Mikealiasmike Posted October 4, 2010 #6 Posted October 4, 2010 I've been up to 113, it felt like the bike was going to fall apart:confused24: You are kidding right? I've had mine up to 116 and that was all I could get out of it. No wind at all, clear view on both sides and straight, level Iowa road. Was told if I had dropped it back into 4th I coulda got 3-4 more mph but that was it. Actual speed since I have a speedohealer. Bike was as tight at 116 as it would be at 55mph. Never shook or rattled at all.
craigatcsi Posted October 4, 2010 #7 Posted October 4, 2010 Oh come on, I had my 07 with the speedo burried for quite a ways and still had plenty of throttle left. Other tan wind noise, it felt like I was doing 60. Craigr
wes0778 Posted October 4, 2010 Author #8 Posted October 4, 2010 I've been up to 113, it felt like the bike was going to fall apart:confused24: 113??? So I've been told My bike runs the speedo needle past 120 about 1/2 way into 4th gear(2-up) and accelerates respectively when shifted into 5th... :cool10:
