YamaDuck Posted October 5, 2010 #26 Posted October 5, 2010 Didnt the "S" models come out in '08 and offer chrome forks? Not an improvement. They have been putting chrome forks on the Venture ever since they started making the Midnight Venture. I think that was 2002 but not sure.
RandyR Posted October 5, 2010 #27 Posted October 5, 2010 most years, 2 different models of 2nd gen Venture were offered, an S model with a little extra chrome and a 'plain' model. In the years the Midnight was offered, it was the S model, in later years the Midnight also had conches on the seat. Engineering wise, there are 3 changes that I am aware of 1. antenna in 2000 2. trunk anti-vibration damper in 2001 3. fuel shut-off eco 2004 a close look thru the parts drawings on Partshark might glean a few other parts number eco's
CrazyHorse Posted October 5, 2010 #28 Posted October 5, 2010 Actually since 1993 they took a step back in time......
Guest scarylarry Posted October 5, 2010 #29 Posted October 5, 2010 For one I like the cass. player it gives me more options to chose what I think should be there, gauges, holder or what I choose... The brakes would be great on ABS but I have learn to use these very well. As for the handling I don't have issues with it, but I test rode it and made sure it was what I wanted before I bought, and that means leaning it in the parking lot and how hard is to push back since there is no reverse.. Comparing this to a HD is like comparing a push mower to a zero turn mower, one is air cool and one is water cool and which one do you want on that long trip? 2 cyl air cool or 4 cyl water cool?
