hig4s Posted October 1, 2010 #3 Posted October 1, 2010 Those aren't snowbird. It is so bad in Michigan, everyone is moving out, permanently.
rickardracing Posted October 1, 2010 #4 Posted October 1, 2010 Yes the economy here in Michigan is still very bad. I am a moldmaker/designer by trade. I was out of work for 7 1/2 months. Over half of the mold shops are gone, never to return. I am now working for 45% less than I was making at my last job. Companies can't figure out why positions with there companies are still unfilled. Answer.....they are trying to take advantage of the high unemployement by paying low wages to toolmakers. Personally, they ain't getting my 28 years experiance for $14 an hour. No way.

ashley9187 Posted October 2, 2010 #6 Posted October 2, 2010 $14 per hour would be a pay raise for me!!! Thank God Texas is a right to work state.
GAWildKat Posted October 2, 2010 #7 Posted October 2, 2010 we eat biscuits year round here in Georgia. Its the state food... I thoughts grits and peach pie were the state foods along with boiled peanuts.
hig4s Posted October 2, 2010 #8 Posted October 2, 2010 $14 per hour would be a pay raise for me!!! Thank God Texas is a right to work state. $14 an hour adds up to nearly $16,000 a year less than national average. but the Texas also rates 2nd best for cost of living in the nation.
