Gray Ghost Posted October 1, 2010 #1 Posted October 1, 2010 It has been an interesting week for me. Last Friday I flew out to Houston and picked up my new to me 89 VR (Sorry I couldn't hang around for your birthday Don). Today I watched one of my great-nieces join the family business.

Zfrebird4 Posted October 1, 2010 #5 Posted October 1, 2010 I'm on my second 86 VR; first was Ursula Black on Gold; second (from Squidley and Lonna) is Brown on gold. ONLY way to go. Both bikes have served me very well! Enjoy, and rubber down! JackZ Jack Tharp Ft Collins, CO
Aussie Annie Posted October 1, 2010 #6 Posted October 1, 2010 Congrats, and please thank your great-niece for her service.
Yammer Dan Posted October 1, 2010 #7 Posted October 1, 2010 That sure is a good looking one!! And that bike don't look bad.

Trader Posted October 1, 2010 #12 Posted October 1, 2010 congrats on the bike! From what I read, it's one of the faster ones (1st Gen....and BLUE!)
Gray Ghost Posted October 2, 2010 Author #13 Posted October 2, 2010 congrats on the bike! From what I read, it's one of the faster ones (1st Gen....and BLUE!) Yes it is, the blue was the fastest color for the 1st Gen, and Silver for the 2nd Gen. I have tried to race them but am having problems operating both throttles at once. Squidley took real good care of the bike and I am privelidged to have to opportunity to offer it space in my garage. And thanks all for the compliments on my great-niece. We are all proud of her. And nope, we don't have to worry much about her. Her dad, sisters, and cousins are all pretty good shots as well, and are fortunate enough to live far enough out in the country that hiding bodies is not an issue
