MikeZ06Allen Posted September 27, 2010 #1 Posted September 27, 2010 How does one acquire the badges associated with your forum name when you post? If that makes sense to anyone; I will be amazed but I can't think of any other way to explain it.
jburrell Posted September 27, 2010 #2 Posted September 27, 2010 Those are badges of appreciation. Hold a Maintenance day or assist someone who needs help and when they tell Freebird about it you may get a badge. Some members have more than one but many dont have as many badges as they really deserve as they are always helping many. my 2:2cents:
V7Goose Posted September 27, 2010 #3 Posted September 27, 2010 (edited) Anyone can nominate anyone for an award, for just about any reason! Some of them are self reported, such as veteran status or membership in the PGR. The others are typically suggested by someone else for you, but don't need to be. If you think you deserve one, send Freebird or one of the moderators a message and we'll take a look at it. To see what awards currently exist and who has them, just click on the "VRAwards" in the middle of the top header bar. There you will also find links to either request an award or recommend one for someone else. Goose Edited September 28, 2010 by Eck spelling error corrected..
MikeZ06Allen Posted September 27, 2010 Author #4 Posted September 27, 2010 Awesome; thanks for the help.
awsmsrv Posted September 27, 2010 #5 Posted September 27, 2010 ...send Freebird of one of the moderators a message... Not to hijack the thread, but, is there somewhere that lists who all the moderators are? I think I know of 6 of them, but, those new to the site might not know. Thanks.
Freebird Posted September 27, 2010 #6 Posted September 27, 2010 At the bottom of the forum, in the blue bar right after the last forum area is a link that says "Forum Leaders". It will open this page: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showgroups.php
awsmsrv Posted September 27, 2010 #7 Posted September 27, 2010 Wow! Never knew that was there. Thanks, Boss.
