Bigfoot Posted September 26, 2010 #1 Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) I have an IPOD with a number of songs on it and the wife has the Shuffle with fewer songs on this. She would like to get a few songs off my IPOD to her Shuffle but I'm not sure if or how this can be done. Can I open my i tunes and unclick all of the songs then let her choose the ones she wants then hook hers to sync? Edited September 26, 2010 by Bigfoot
Freebird Posted September 26, 2010 #2 Posted September 26, 2010 Not really. Apple doesn't make it easy to transfer from one Ipod to another. There is some second party software out there that allows you do do it but I've not yet tried any of them.
mbrood Posted September 26, 2010 #3 Posted September 26, 2010 Using I-Tunes, your "library" of your IPod are also stored on your computer hard drive... this can be seen using Windows Explorer (Program Files/ iTunes/iTunes.Resources... or iTunes Miniplayer.Resources). These are the two libraries of my IPOD and my Itouch. Plugging in your wife's will also let Windows Explorer show it as a removeable media that files can be copied to.
Owen Posted September 26, 2010 #4 Posted September 26, 2010 (edited) Another method, which I use, is to export your songs from iTunes in 'mp3' format. Save them in a file you can find, then import/copy them into the other device. This is how I put tunes from itunes on an sd card for my zumo 550... Edited September 26, 2010 by Owen
armyvet Posted September 26, 2010 #5 Posted September 26, 2010 There is home share on itunes. you can click on it and authorize her ipod to install you songs and visa versa.
