Guest human4m Posted September 23, 2010 #1 Posted September 23, 2010 Specifically Houston Texans?? I'm only asking because Mario Williams (#90) is from Richlands... I was 4 years ahead of him in school, but my BIL and him grew up together... His father lives not even 1/2 mile down the dirt road I live on, his Grandmother is across the street, and his cousins... Well, they're the ones that raise pit bulls for fighting, and had the Pit Bull that killed my dog a few months ago. (For those of you wondering, the Pit Bull and I had a run in a few weeks later and the Pit Bull didn't fair so well.) I've met them all, and his father seems rather nice... His grandmother is FUNNY (in an old-crotchety-paranoid-kinda-way) and I'll just bite my toungue about the cousins... I just find it amazing the money some NFL players make, and his family lives in borderline poverty! A few years ago he bought his Grandmother a new washer and dryer, bought his Dad a Dodge Ram, and that was it. He hasn't been back to visit, and doesn't do anything else for them... Maybe I'm just a bird of a different feather, but if I was pulling anywhere even CLOSE to even $90k a year, I'd take care of the people who raised me... Okay, I'm done ranting.
jburrell Posted September 23, 2010 #2 Posted September 23, 2010 Geaux Texans!!!! Issue is where do you finally draw the line for passing out you earnings in relations to relatives. Obamas Aunt still lives in government housting and subsides on $700 disability from SS and she's not even a legal resident and he's got millions. Nuff said about politics! Just referencing that others dont think the same way. I support both my kids. Hell one lives in a house I own the the other one that I paid the DP on. but thats my kids my cousins etc can fend for themselves.
