Rea shocks

Has anyone found a decent alternative to replace the stock rear shock on the RS Venture? This is the third one to go on me.

A few days ago,Sept 7/2010, I sent a note via E-mail to Progressive Suspension inquiring about them not have a rear shock replacement for the OEM shock in the Venture. I pointed out that they might be missing a significant opportunity given the long production run of this bike and high failure rate of the OEM shock. This was their response:

Hi Ron,

 

Yes, it is actually one of the bikes we are considering at this time. It probably will not be available for 6-8 months though due to testing requirements.
