Wanderer Posted September 20, 2010 #1 Posted September 20, 2010 MikeGinSC took delivery of Dream today . I hope, I know, he will enjoy her as much as I have and am so glad one of our family was able to get her. It's not a good time for me, but I will return soon. You just can't keep a good man down.
sarges46 Posted September 20, 2010 #2 Posted September 20, 2010 We are all sorry for you having to sell the bike. But, we are also glad it remained "in the family" so to speak. And you are right...it will get better eventually.
ADC Posted September 20, 2010 #3 Posted September 20, 2010 Sorry to hear that Ted,I hope things start looking up for you soon. Arthur

Sleeperhawk Posted September 21, 2010 #6 Posted September 21, 2010 Ted, I know you hated to lose the bike, but on the other hand I also know it was bugging you that the "Repo" man was knocking at the door, so I know you are relieved. You and Patricia know where we live and always have an open door for the both of you.
midnite Posted September 21, 2010 #7 Posted September 21, 2010 Brother, if there is anything Sunshine and me can do just let us know. Hope things are going better for ya'lls parents. Haven't heard from ya in a while , so give us a shout. Prayers are still going out to ya both.Just remember losing the bike is just one less thing to worry about right now, ya'll have bigger things to worry with. The bike can be replaced later, by then Yamaha might actually improve on it.
Aussie Annie Posted September 21, 2010 #8 Posted September 21, 2010 All the best to you and yours Ted. Keep that smiling face in here on a regular basis
painterman67 Posted September 21, 2010 #9 Posted September 21, 2010 Ted my brother I hate to hear this. I was so hoping things would work out better for you.Prayers sent up for you. David
Grandpagak Posted September 21, 2010 #10 Posted September 21, 2010 prayers on the way for you and the family.. just look ahead and recall the blessins..
Mike G in SC Posted September 21, 2010 #11 Posted September 21, 2010 Ted, This was a mixed ride for me today, 480 miles of it. Carol and I are really just wowed to get your bike. It is a DREAM. But we know that "beating the repo" is not a joyful thing for you. No cause to celebrate, but pressure gone. Do come visit Columbia and your good friends in the area. And, as I plan on keeping my RSTD (Pathfinder) and the Dream,,, when you visit this area,, if you don't bring one, you will have a bike to ride !!!! (And, my neighbor will own my Strat tomorrow. Pretty machine, but not a Royal ride.) Mike and Carol Griswold in SC
Phoneman1981 Posted September 21, 2010 #12 Posted September 21, 2010 You are correct. You can't keep a good man down. Neat that your bike went to a member of the terriffic VR family. I learned a long time a go to " Don't fall in love with anything that can't love you back". I lost my first touring machine to a crash 25 years ago. Finally back on now. And thankful for this wonderful on line community. Take care everyone....
Wanderer Posted September 21, 2010 Author #13 Posted September 21, 2010 Thank you, each and every one. I don't know what I would do with out my VentureRider family. We'll soon get cranking here. I have a big meeting to attend in Atlanta Friday and should start the new career soon after. There is certainly another "Dream" in my dreams of the future. Patricia's mom is now with the congestive heart failure and my Dad's cancer shall probably get the better of him in the coming few weeks. Life goes on and all we can do is hope and pray for the best. I love you guys. Ted
Monty Posted September 21, 2010 #14 Posted September 21, 2010 Ted, I'm glad to hear that at least one burden has been lifted off of you, although I know you'll miss it. Hopefully, you'll be back on your feet soon, and can get another bike. Your sick family members are in our thoughts here. I know you've been having a rough ride lately. Take care Bud, Monty
Guest Posted September 21, 2010 #15 Posted September 21, 2010 Prayers sent for better times for you and better health for your family.....Hang in there!
