Dave77459 Posted September 20, 2010 #1 Posted September 20, 2010 A friend of mine got bar end mirrors for her Norton. Anyone ever try these on a Venture or RSTD? Ever ride with them? Do they make whistling noises? She says they make a handy clearance gauge when she is "white lining". It's sure a different look, and maybe impossible to get used to. Dave
rod Posted September 22, 2010 #2 Posted September 22, 2010 Never tried on a RSV but the angle of the bars will determine how well they work. Straighter flatter bars they work well. Rod
Squeeze Posted September 22, 2010 #3 Posted September 22, 2010 I have such Bar End Mirrors on both of my Maxxes and that's what i prefer over any other Mirror mounting Method. You have a clear and unobstructed rear View, no Vibrations(even at Autobahn Speeds) and it they're holding up well. I use Rizomy Mirrors, but there are plenty of other Manufacturers out there. Oberon, CRG just to name 2 others coming to my Mind. If you stay a away from cheap chinese Plastic Mirrors, you can't go wrong. There are differnt mounting Methods available, some clamp to the Bar, some clamp to the Bar End Weight, some mount inside the Handle Bar and bring their own Bar End with the Mount.
massey130 Posted September 22, 2010 #4 Posted September 22, 2010 my initial impression was a "not for me" feeling. it may take a couple folks to try them out and i see a few pictures of 2nd gen ventures with them to help me see them differently. but right now, i would not buy any for my scooter.
