a1bummer Posted September 17, 2010 #1 Posted September 17, 2010 On the MKII's trunk light, is it turned on with a mercury switch or is there a momentary switch that turns on the light when the trunk is opened? I noticed the brackets on the left hand side hinge that lead me to believe it would be a momentary switch. Would anybody happen to have an extra one they want to part with? Thanks, Bill
painterman67 Posted September 17, 2010 #2 Posted September 17, 2010 on mine its a push button connector. Like the ones you see in a car. When the door is closed the connection is closed and the light is out. when its open the connection is open and the light is on. Mine isnt wired wright now. Haveing a few problems. Either switch or wire has a short. If I can Ill go outside and snap a pic tonight for you. David
a1bummer Posted September 17, 2010 Author #3 Posted September 17, 2010 Thanks, That's what I thought it probably was. Now juse to find a switch. Bill
Poledar Posted September 17, 2010 #4 Posted September 17, 2010 I have that switch available. Make me an offer and plan on you paying the shipping on top of what we agree to. I am just clearing out parts and not looking to get rich on parts, so take a chance! POLEDAR:301:
