Lone Eagle Posted September 17, 2010 #2 Posted September 17, 2010 If only modern day vehicles were that easy - that was an interesting video.
hig4s Posted September 17, 2010 #3 Posted September 17, 2010 Wranglers up to 2006 are not that much different. Of course they had dissembled that one before and didn't put back any bolts that were not absolutely necessary. They only had two lug nuts on each wheel. Only one or two bolts in body, normally there are 10 or 12. And did you notice that there was no water in the radiator?
eazyduzzit Posted September 17, 2010 #5 Posted September 17, 2010 It wouldn't matter, since they didn't hook up any radiator hoses, and how did it start? I didn't see any wiring done.
Rocket Posted September 17, 2010 #6 Posted September 17, 2010 It wouldn't matter, since they didn't hook up any radiator hoses, and how did it start? I didn't see any wiring done. All quick dis-connects for the starter, ignition & fuel, amongst others. A co-worker was on the demontration team, about 20 years ago. I didn't know it was still being done, but that is a fairly recent video. Electrical Mechanical Engineering (EME) Branch, Vehicle Technicians.
