slick97spirit Posted September 16, 2010 #1 Posted September 16, 2010 Just think if you had to log on to one of these dino's every night to find out what was going on in the VR world. http://www.flixxy.com/1967-future-computing.htm
MiCarl Posted September 16, 2010 #2 Posted September 16, 2010 Interestingly they aren't that far off. The "electronic correspondence machine" is a bit redundant though. I noticed that when the husband reviews his banking it sure looks like a picture of a printed statement.
FreezyRider Posted September 16, 2010 #3 Posted September 16, 2010 HEY.....Isn't the "husband" in that video actually Wink Martindale, the guy who was later a game show host? Sure looks like him.
uechi kid Posted September 16, 2010 #4 Posted September 16, 2010 That was very interesting. Although I think it's probably a modern made film made to look like it was made in 1967. All of the terminology was way to close to what we have know. Even Jobs and Wozniak didn't have these concepts until years later. My .

I don't know, but the idea of online bill pay and online banking back in those days was a clear reference to "The AntiChrist and mark of the beast."
uechi kid Posted September 16, 2010 #6 Posted September 16, 2010 I don't know, but the idea of on-line bill pay and on-line banking back in those days was a clear reference to "The Antichrist and mark of the beast." If you're referring to, "everyone will have a number". Back then people thought that meant "credit cards". And there was no "on line". In the early 70s there was a super computer (the largest in the world at that time) in Belgium that had a nick name "The Beast". There was speculation that credit card numbers and this computer would be the tool the Antichrist use to keep track of and control people.

More than likely, the way to keep track of everyone will be with the GPS based cell phones...
