Zumo 665

Recommended Posts

Looking hard at a new 665 to replace both existing nuvi and xm radio. Question is: Do I need a "hard connect" between the 665 and bike (though AUX input?) OR will it transmit directly through the Yamaha FM radio as I do with my existing XM radio? If I need a connecting cable, does it come with the unit or ?

THANKS!

665 is hard connected via the Aux input.

No FM transmitting through the audio system.

You will need an 1/8" stereo/ y-connector to keep both your Aux on the tape deck and the audio out of the Zumo to the amp.

Here is a tech article to install which I followed. Well written and easy to follow.
