When I rode up to Va two weeks ago my Street Pilot had me off track by almost 50 miles probably would have been more if I had not know that Danville Va is not on the way to Blacksburg.

My GPS doesn't know how to do a U turn!

It will sent me Miles out of the way to go Right, right, right. left

So I'm always checking the route it chose for me before I actually follow its commands!

--- mine took me down 5 miles of remote, single lane, stone roads recently. Apparenntly, it was the shortest route to my final destinaition.

'Broomhilda' has a glich in her programing. The graphics are right, but the vox direction is wrong.... and it's repeatable. Happens every time I approach one particular intersection... I just ignore her. :whistling:

I have to agree, I use mine for getting to points when in a strange town but never use it to get from one town to another. I also use it if we are in a different state just riding around and didn't pay attention where we went so we can get back to wheere we want. But they are nice to have for a bunch of things:clap2:

Must take you a long time to read the Atlas, if you are planning on your Florida trip now for next year. :stirthepot::stirthepot::rasberry::rasberry::rotf::rotf:

I use mine alot, but I plan my routes on Streets and Trips and then down load the waypoints to my TomTom. You can easily check the routes on the computer then prior to heading out on multi-day trip.
