well we made it home awhile ago, and the meet was a total success. we thought it was going to be a washout cuz of rain. got a nice ride in friday and a really great ride saturday. what a great group. everything went picture perfect. i sold my wing to a really great guy, and he rode it all weekend. it was his and his wifes first venture rider meet and i think they really enjoyed it. i know linda and i had a wonderful time. the highlight of the meet was the trip to herman, mo. yesterday. it just happened that there was a fair going on there so we spent several hours sightseeing. i want to thank all the folks that attended. we consider them family. already planning a christmas get together, and a fall meet for next year. the temperature was perfect this time of year. the aftermath of the hurricane came and passed early so we got plenty of riding in. bill :2133:

Sorry you missed it, but totally understand. Dad comes first and the rain was not fun to ride in. We will be praying for your dad. Hope everything goes ok.

We plan on going to St. Jude's next month also, so look forward to seeing you there.

Edith and I got in around 7:30 with a minimum of undue excitement.

All was well until we got to Tulsa and decided to stop for a Braums ice cream. Exited freeway and needed to turn left at the light. When the light changed, the two cars in front of me and I made the turn and a car on the right ran the light and ran right up my tail pipe. Stopped just inches behind me!! Then had the nerve to honk and yell like it was my fault!! Way too close.:bang head:

As we were leaving Braums I noticed a noise coming from the trailer wheel. Jacked it up and found one of the brakes had worked loose. Got it temporarly fixed to get us the rest of the way home.

I want to thank Bill and Linda for putting this meet together and every one else for making Edith and I feel like old friends, even though this was our first get together. It won't be our last. This is one great bunch.:thumbsup2:

We talked bikes, past meets, future meets, more bikes, great roads, more bikes, and even the the relative merits of gas with Monty giving a couple short demonstrations. No wonder his bike runs so good. He is an expert on the subject.:rotf::bowdown:
