etcswjoe Posted September 12, 2010 #3 Posted September 12, 2010 Picture sizes are so limited in size it hardly makes it worth it! I use Photo bucket and just post the link, gives you full size pics plus they are down-loadable.
Freebird Posted September 12, 2010 #4 Posted September 12, 2010 You just have to learn how to size them. 640 x 480 is PLENTY big. Here is an example.
kj5ix Posted September 12, 2010 #5 Posted September 12, 2010 Resizing is easy, and using IMG code or direct link is easy (if you have a place to put the photos Photobucket etc: ) but I haven't figured out yet how to do the Thumbnails and the mini slide show ,, Can that be done from a direct link, or do you have to upload them to this site...
Freebird Posted September 12, 2010 #6 Posted September 12, 2010 It's done by using the "manage attachments" feature and uploading them to the site.
Michael_Bishop Posted September 12, 2010 #7 Posted September 12, 2010 one of the easy ways I have found to resize pictures for the web is to use a power toy for xp. Called Image Resizer. You just go to a photo and right click and it will be a option in the menu. But look at the advance options of it. I make a new folder inside the one where the pictures are and call it for the web. That way I make sure I down screw up the originals. Here is a link for xp. Just scroll down to the right side of the page till you see Image Resizer. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx For Windows Vista or Windows 7 here is a link for a program that does the same thing. Microsoft quite doing power toys for Vista and 7. http://avs4you.com/AVS-Image-Converter.aspx??type=GoogleAdWordsContent&gclid=CKWqlr-cgqQCFdj75wodXzBNJA
Wizard765 Posted September 12, 2010 #8 Posted September 12, 2010 Here is a link to a small utility that works exactly the same as the image resize powertoy for XP but is for Windows 7 and Vista (32bit or 64 bit). http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ I use this all the time. Wayne
