Canadian Tire has their Motomaster Motorcycle and ATV jack (1500lb capacity) on sale for $70 but Costco has a Powerbuilt Triple Lift (4500lb) for $100. Any recommendations? This is for a 2nd Gen RSV.

I have the first one and its great for 2 gen with the carbon one adapter. However the 2 one you show might be a pro blem if the center round lift pad is not removal as it will interfere with the way the motor is mounted with protrousions underneath preventing you getting the lift level. IF the center raise pad is removal the exrra capicity and height may be good but alos the lift arms seem kinda short compared to the first one. If I have my choice I would stay with the tried and true and get the first lift and a carbon one adapter. By the way that is what I have and it works great.

With the Powerbuilt it "features both a removable lift saddle and padded lift rails. This flexible design allows the Triple Lift to adapt to multiple types of vehicle frames."

I cant remember which brand I bought, but you need to check and make sure the rubber area is long enough to take the carbon one or even long enough to reach both sides of the lower frame. One I bought....didnt. It was on sale and I couldnt return it.

I ended up using the bottle jack off it as my other one was caput anyway.

I have one like the first one (red). I was lucky in so far as i had bought my lift for my ATV before I had my 04 RSV. i needed low clearance and that was my luck. I bought my RSv from a short person like myself and he had installed his own made lowering links which made the bike fine for me from the start.

however, when i went to use the lift for the first time, i had to grind off the little nubs on the lift bar that are designed to keep stuff from sliding off the front end. those nubs stopped the lift from rolling under the scooter with my lift adapter on. I still have to rock the scooter back n forth a bit to get the lift underneath, but it goes under and i can get my work done.

this is to say to be sure of what clearance you need under your bike before you plunk down you hard earned dollars.

I have the one from CTC and am plenty happy with it. It does help to pump a little air into the rear shock to get it to slide under my 1st gen. I also have the lift from Princess Auto. It has it's advantages as well, but I mostly use the small, quick CTC job.

That's an interesting concept for the Powerbuilt jack. My only concern with it would be perhaps the stability of a bike on it depending on the jacks width compared to a standard ATV style jack. As far as t he center lift pad I would think that could be easly removed when being used on the bikes.

I went with the Powerbuilt Triple Lift from Costco. Multi-purpose and seemed a lot sturdier than the other ones.

The center pad just lifts off, no screw or bolt. As for dimensions of the lift pads... the outside dimension is 9 1/4" and each of the pads are 2" wide by 12" long.

How does the adapter work? Started looking to see where the lift points would be and not sure how the jacks line up with the Venture. I'll use the lift on the Virago 1100 as well.
