Condor Posted September 7, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2010 Any antenna from 86-93 will work on your '91.... If it's just the tiip you can get a replacement at Radio Shack or some truck stops....
bongobobny Posted September 8, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 8, 2010 CB or radio? Also, most of the 1st Gen's were combo but I've seen them with duals...
painterman67 Posted September 8, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted September 8, 2010 its a single . And yes it was just above the larger part where you loosen the set screw and do the adjustment for the cb. David

ddoggma Posted September 8, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 8, 2010 I need one too.....lol! Lost mine, I have no CB radio on my bike. I have a 88 standard Venture. I was wondering if I could get something from the autoparts stores. That will screw on an not look too funny.

Condor Posted September 8, 2010 Share #8 Posted September 8, 2010 its a single . And yes it was just above the larger part where you loosen the set screw and do the adjustment for the cb. David Radio Shack has those tips. BTW the allen screw just holds the tip in. The way you tune is by clipping the end. I personally wouldn't worry about tuning it since you're not going to be shooting skip. It's really got to be out a bunch to not be able get out a couple of miles. Also the tip element is 18.5" long if that'll help.... Heck any piece of rod about that same diameter will work.
91nwl Posted September 8, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 8, 2010 I bought a new one at a dealer a couple years back. I think they're still available. I paid about $85.
Squidley Posted September 8, 2010 Share #10 Posted September 8, 2010 FWIW.... I wouldn't bother replacing an exsisting one, go out and buy a new mount and a Firestik antenna where you can tune it. You'll have much updated technology and you wont have to worry about it breaking again
BOO Posted September 8, 2010 Share #11 Posted September 8, 2010 I have one laying around here somewhere but I haven't seen it for a while. I will look for it in case you don't find one. BOO
uechi kid Posted September 8, 2010 Share #12 Posted September 8, 2010 Can you use an after market antenna? They are fairly inexpensive. Firestik make a real good one for under $30.
