Guest Sponge Bob Posted October 30, 2007 #1 Posted October 30, 2007 Hey Guys: Have a Silver 05 RSV, put the star passing lamps on and after a year or so I still don't really like them. I was thinking of putting the Kuryakyn Large bullet lights on the front fender struts. Has anyone done this and how do they feel about them over the "stock" passing lamps? Sponge Bob
Guest TFD69 Posted October 31, 2007 #2 Posted October 31, 2007 I put the large bullets on the forks with 20 watt bulbs. They are mounted using Kuryakn hollow bolts that replace the fender bolt with the wiring going through the hollow bolts. The install had to be modified from set instructions as the fender has the mounting nut budded on to the inside of the fender and in order to tighten the bolt I used the Kuryakn nut as a spacer between the fender mount and the light. I used the Kuryakn wiring and relay. Works great. You might want to trim the bottom of the fork wind deflectors as they rub on the bullet lights when the forks compress during hard breaking I think the fork lights do a better job illuminating the road in front of you then the passing lights and it creates the triangle of light better recognized by on coming motorists. All said and done it was money well spent on quality product
