DesertRider Posted September 2, 2010 #1 Posted September 2, 2010 Was out window-shopping on ebay earlier and ran across a couple of real nice looking old XS11's. I don't think I've seen any that looked quite this good before. If they were a couple thousand miles closer I might even be interested in one for a backup ride if the bids didn't get too much higher. There's a blue 1980 here, and a 1978 Midnight Special here.
RandyR Posted September 2, 2010 #2 Posted September 2, 2010 Maybe my favorite bike of all time. I had a 79
DesertRider Posted September 2, 2010 Author #3 Posted September 2, 2010 I never owned one but even after 30+ years they are still a fine looking machine. Way better looking than the average sport bike of that era.
pegscraper Posted September 2, 2010 #4 Posted September 2, 2010 Then when you get one, you can go to http://www.xs11.com and read about everything you can do to them.
ddoggma Posted September 2, 2010 #5 Posted September 2, 2010 When I decided to get a MC. Those were the bikes I was looking at. Was the best I could get in my price range. until I got a deal on my 88 Vent. I found this site from the xs11 guys. Those two look nice. Like the midnight more. I was actualy look for a xj1100 cause it was more of a tourer, I guess.
Big-bird Posted September 4, 2010 #6 Posted September 4, 2010 I have a 79 XS 1100 Special, These old bikes are a very fine ride, not to mention a lot of Fun.
showmebob Posted September 8, 2010 #7 Posted September 8, 2010 The xs 11 is a great bike, have a little colection of parts bikes going on here, I love the one i have up and runing, like it better than the venture for runing around town, but out on the road, hands down on the venture, i have put 10,000 miles on the venture sence march, i think that is when I got it, i love both the bikes for deferent reasons.
