halfwitt Posted September 1, 2010 #9 Posted September 1, 2010 They call the cassette deck a "feature".
phertwo Posted September 1, 2010 #10 Posted September 1, 2010 What do you think the 2012 Venture will be? 1800cc new vmax motor? Too soon?? Just get ready for another year of the same old...
royalstarjac Posted September 1, 2010 #11 Posted September 1, 2010 I am test riding a 2010 Honda Goldwing on Monday........ Seriously, I am..... Better bring your checkbook!
craigatcsi Posted September 1, 2010 #12 Posted September 1, 2010 That is just downright funny! Or is it sad? Craigr
saddlebum Posted September 1, 2010 #13 Posted September 1, 2010 Wait a minute it does say . Audio system is CD changer compatible and handset-ready (available accessories). this way you can play cd's and cassettes both.
Sylvester Posted September 1, 2010 #14 Posted September 1, 2010 Besides the Midnight Ventures the only one that really got my attention over the years was the 09 Desert Sand and Black S model. I really love that color. Oh well, I guess I will wait some more for a different ride. I still have Sylvester with 132,000 miles and running strong.
KiteSquid Posted September 1, 2010 #15 Posted September 1, 2010 (edited) Better bring your checkbook! $20,090 for the RSV S as the RSV is not made...... $22,899 for the base Goldwing $25,399 to add navi and xm $26,599 to add ABS $27,999 to add Airbag However the GW does not come with a CB and it is about $1K MSRP to add...... Honda is offering finaincing rates as low as 1%...... but I'll just bring my checkbook and try to get a lower price. Edited September 1, 2010 by KiteSquid

He hasnt rode it in several months so I imagine it needs cleaned up.
DragonRider Posted September 1, 2010 #17 Posted September 1, 2010 All the prices seem way to high $23,000.00+ for a Venture, $14,000+ for a V Star 1300 Tour, $12,899.00 for V Star 1100, and $12,099.00 for a V Star 950................what does that translate to in US currency? :mo money::mo money::mo money:
FreezyRider Posted September 1, 2010 #18 Posted September 1, 2010 I have noticed that the dollar is taking a beating against the Yen. I'm figuring this is part of the problem. The lower our $ drops, the more of them it takes to buy a Japanese product.
Guest scarylarry Posted September 1, 2010 #19 Posted September 1, 2010 I am test riding a 2010 Honda Goldwing on Monday........ Seriously, I am..... One place to look http://www.lakehillmotors.com/ kind of far but might be worth the look, and if ya time right I'll ride down with ya...
bluerstd08 Posted September 1, 2010 #20 Posted September 1, 2010 :confused07:I love the Venture and all but geeze, Yami is milking and raising the price on a machine that hasnt changed in 12 years:starz:? I want a Venture when I do decide to upgrade from the RSTD but if Yami keeps this up, I think Im gonna have to go with the Wing.
BuddyRich Posted September 1, 2010 #21 Posted September 1, 2010 NOW IF you want a 2005 with 8500-9000 miles on it,silver metallic WITH CB I have a friend that lost interest in bikes..He said he would take $11000 but Id bet it could be bought for $10000...Great buy. He hasnt rode it in several months so I imagine it needs cleaned up. Wish I had the RSV paid off, I'd jump on that. I'll probably move to a wing in a couple of years. I just checked the new Vmax and those morons only put a 350watt charging system in that motor also. Which means any new RSV would be way underpowered electrically again. I like electricty.....
CrazyHorse Posted September 2, 2010 #22 Posted September 2, 2010 $20,090 for the RSV S as the RSV is not made...... $22,899 for the base Goldwing $25,399 to add navi and xm $26,599 to add ABS $27,999 to add Airbag However the GW does not come with a CB and it is about $1K MSRP to add...... Know a guy who has one he likes his Garmin better and uses that instead. Cheaper also the updates are expensive I hear.

Your joking right? GW lighting system is awesome especially when you make the driving lights work with the bright headlights. We dont have inspections in Illinois for that. Thank God.
SilvrT Posted September 2, 2010 #24 Posted September 2, 2010 I sent a response message to Yamaha.ca regarding my disappointment of the "new 2011 Venture". I wasn't very "nice" with my comments. Here's their response... Good morning. Thank you for your comments, feedback, positive or negative - helps us meet the needs and desires of Yamaha owners. We too are all waiting for a new Tourer and are very aware of the market requirements - I'm afraid the current economic climate and has delayed the introduction of a new touring model for 2011. We have however, introduced the "adventure tourer" Super Tenere XT1200Z which, while not satisfying the need for the luxury tour customer, does illustrate that development is continuing even in these difficult times. As an aside, the XVZ Venture may have a cassette deck, but is widely recognized as an extremely high quality sound and has (since inception) an AUX input to allow playing of any modern audio device such as MP3 etc. Regards and thanks for contacting us! Scott
pwortham Posted September 3, 2010 #25 Posted September 3, 2010 I think I'll be riding my 07 for a little while longer. And if I get tired of it I'll just have to pull out the 06 Road Star, besides no payments on either it looks to much like the 07 to justify $20,000. Paul W.
