I'm glad to hear that you both came out of a bad situation, relatively OK. Could have been worse as you know.

Good luck shopping for a new bike. Are you going to be able to salvage any of your acc. off of the old bike?

Glad you are okay, I Know a member who totalled his bike and was able to remove all accessories installed. Ram Mounts, chrome, aftermarket seats, ETC. You may also conider a buyback in which case you could part the bike out or rebuild it if it is not bad.

Now to get the insurance claim settled and to find a new or used Gold Wing.

Glad to hear you're both okay... All things considered, that bike held up pretty good, I'm impressed that it's in as good shape as it is, despite being written off... Looking at the pictures was tough, as I'm riding the Blue/Black '07 as well.

I am thinking if you have an 2007 Venture you should sell it right away. Totaled mine on 7-6-10 and State Farm paid $14,300.00 I could not figure that out either but was very happy. Glad to hear you and the misses are Ok.

One question if I may, based on this statement:

Any idea how she got road rash on her arm if she was wearing a jacket? Did the jacket tear, or ride up on her arm thus exposing it?

What did they do with the bike? Are you selling it for parts? I ask cause I'd like to get a pillow top seat on my 2000 RSV.
