Gamecock Posted August 31, 2010 #1 Posted August 31, 2010 For the first time in 5 months and 4 days, I will be going to work! The accident on March 27 sure has changed my life, but I hope tonight makes it feel a little more normal. I'm nervous, but so ready to get back; not to mention have a full paycheck. My surgery on Aug 6 has been a success; I have limited feeling in my right hand, which is better than none at all! Here's to a good night at work..... I'll be thinking about the Eastern seaboard with EARL and FIONA; my parents are in Myrtle Beach, lets hope these beasts stay out to sea!!!! Ben
Yammer Dan Posted August 31, 2010 #2 Posted August 31, 2010 Good luck with this stuff called work. :whistling:Sounds strange. Hope it goes good for you.
mini-muffin Posted August 31, 2010 #3 Posted August 31, 2010 Glad to hear life is getting back to some sort of normal for you. I wouldn't worry about Fiona seems she's falling apart, Earl that's another story. Looks good for it to make the turn and not hit land. Let us know how it felt for the first day back. I'm sure it'll go well. Also glad to hear that there is some feeling back. Margaret
cecdoo Posted August 31, 2010 #4 Posted August 31, 2010 Thats great news Ben, glad the surgery helped. Guess you were never so anxious to go to work. Craig

DBOB Posted September 1, 2010 #15 Posted September 1, 2010 Hey Ben; Glad you are able to return to work. I had a work related accident in 1992 and it totally changed my life. I've had 3 surgeries including a 3 level C Spine fusion. They were able to stablize my spine but not make things go back to normal. I am thankfull I can still ride some, if not for that, ( and a great wife ), I don't think I would still be around! Hope all works well for you! Don
Gamecock Posted September 1, 2010 Author #16 Posted September 1, 2010 Work went well. Only took 7 hours to get through 1000+ emails, gotta love technology! Not much pain and the co-workers had me small party. Great to be back and feel normal! Thanks again everyone!!! Ben
