Hummingbird Posted August 31, 2010 #2 Posted August 31, 2010 I sent mine to my wife ONCE it came back looking just like it did when I sent it !
Freebird Posted August 31, 2010 #3 Posted August 31, 2010 I never have but I've seen advertisements around here of a couple of places that do it.
craigatcsi Posted August 31, 2010 #4 Posted August 31, 2010 My wife is too busy with the Laundry, Cooking, House Cleaning, Yard Work, Grocery Shopping, etc.. to clean the bike too. She griped because she had to help wax the bike one time. And even then, she didn't do a very good job. craigr
Monty Posted August 31, 2010 #5 Posted August 31, 2010 My wife likes to clean mine, in her bikini, while I mow the yard or tend to other chores.
craigatcsi Posted August 31, 2010 #6 Posted August 31, 2010 Do you have any pics to share of your wife 'detailing' your bike?
Marcarl Posted August 31, 2010 #8 Posted August 31, 2010 Sorry, hands were too busy to hold a camera. Ask the neighbors, they probably have lots they can share,,,,, OH, don't ask the gals, ask the guys.
Hummingbird Posted August 31, 2010 #10 Posted August 31, 2010 My wife likes to clean mine, in her bikini, while I mow the yard or tend to other chores. can I mow your yard while I'm down there ?
dynodon Posted August 31, 2010 #11 Posted August 31, 2010 I would bet that most quality detail shops for cars would do a bike if asked.
marinakorp Posted August 31, 2010 #12 Posted August 31, 2010 In another life I used to detail cars. I had a few bikes come in. Make sure you tell them no armor all (or whatever protectant they use ) on the tires. There is a great product for other leather / vinyl that works quite well ...303 aerospace. It is SPF 40 for your stuff. I use it on my seat(s) and is not slippery. Also, be careful of the degreasers used on the motor... Don't want seals or gaskets to go bad. Be specific when asking what they use. And what yo don't want used.
