pick Posted August 29, 2010 #1 Posted August 29, 2010 So many kudos to the very knowledgeable folks here! Had my ignition short out today and between the how too's here in the library, long distance telephone help from Eck and Sleeperhawk, and FLB's quick site pictures and clarification, I got a switch installed to by pass and get the bike going! This site is so full of great members!!!!!!! Thanks all!
etcswjoe Posted August 29, 2010 #2 Posted August 29, 2010 I have to agree, only been a member a couple of weeks and so many great people.
Kregerdoodle Posted August 29, 2010 #3 Posted August 29, 2010 I have gone ahead and pre-wired mine, and have the wires coiled and taped under the seat, so if and when the switch goes south, all I need to do is connect the 2 wires and I should be good to go...
Yammer Dan Posted August 29, 2010 #4 Posted August 29, 2010 We already know that!!! Most of us arrived at this point the same way you did. And now you are part of us!!! Pat yourself on the back for belonging to the Greatest site on the web!!
DesertRider Posted August 29, 2010 #5 Posted August 29, 2010 I completely agree. I joined in a couple of months ago when I was doing some front end work on my 1st gen and found both the advice and the good 2nd-hand parts I needed all right here.
Godlover Posted August 29, 2010 #6 Posted August 29, 2010 Amen!!! I sold my Venture and still hang around because this is a great place to be!!!
friesman Posted August 29, 2010 #7 Posted August 29, 2010 I have gone ahead and pre-wired mine, and have the wires coiled and taped under the seat, so if and when the switch goes south, all I need to do is connect the 2 wires and I should be good to go... And youre parking where? Just kidding Brian
Snaggletooth Posted August 29, 2010 #8 Posted August 29, 2010 I bought a VR that wasn't running and kinkered with it for a while and then found this site. Been three years now and put a lot of miles on that bike. Wouldn't of happened without these folks.
SilvrT Posted August 29, 2010 #9 Posted August 29, 2010 I came here over 4 years ago for info about my '87 that I'd recently bought .... got addicted to the members and their good natured hospitality ... now they can't seem to get rid of me LOL heck, I've even met a few...more than once... amazing!
Kregerdoodle Posted August 29, 2010 #10 Posted August 29, 2010 LOL well if some one does steal it, they will be going around in big circles..so will be easy to catch them.... And youre parking where? Just kidding Brian
