pick Posted August 28, 2010 #1 Posted August 28, 2010 Anyone on that can answer a question about the wiring of an ignition by-pass switch?????????? errrghhhhh 770-624-4569????
pick Posted August 28, 2010 Author #3 Posted August 28, 2010 confused on which wires get run to switch? both from one side of the connector? I jump the red from the front of the connector to the brown/ble at rear of connector, all works? but looking at pictures, it don't look as if its done that way? seems as if they both get spliced from front of connector to switch?
pick Posted August 28, 2010 Author #5 Posted August 28, 2010 Ok, if I see that right, splice one wire to the red one wire to the brown/blue between the switch and the connector and then one wire to the toggle on one side and one wire to the other of the toggle? Toggle switched on, makes the connection?

Toggle switched on, makes the connection? wait...what? Just splice a wire into the red wire and run that to the toggle. Splice a wire into the blue/brown and run that to the toggle.
pick Posted August 28, 2010 Author #7 Posted August 28, 2010 Would it matter if I did it aft of the plug as it seems there is more room for a splice?

I did mine between the connector and the switch because I did not want to cut the main harness. You could splice into those wires anywhere on the bike, but I did not want any repairs in the main harness that could later fail because of corrosion.
