I'm sure someone will appreciate the greater light output....but for me I just can't get past the look of it. I like the stock look so much more.

 

Just me for what its worth.

Ah, but my Grasshopper Trader......one must not look into the light...but be able to see the light.

 

And these puppies let you do that real well. Makes a heck of a difference in the middle of the night and you get an extra hundred yards on Bambi waiting to ambush ya.

 

Not saying they are for everybody but I wouldn't give mine up for nothing.

I wonder if a complete '83-'85 headlight assy would bolt into the '86-'9? (MKii's). I know the trim went to one piece - I don't know what else is different in there, though. I have extra headlight assy parts.

MKI headlight cannot be put into a stock MKII.

 

The front fairing sub frame is different.

 

MKI has tabs on it to mount the headlight bucket which are not on the MKII sub frame.

 

Picture of MKI fairing sub frame is in attached picture. Tabs for headlight mount have circle around them.
