royalstarjac Posted August 24, 2010 #5 Posted August 24, 2010 "authorities think speed may have been a factor"... Do ya think?
Marcarl Posted August 24, 2010 #6 Posted August 24, 2010 "authorities think speed may have been a factor"... Do ya think? Might have been,,, but then he was driving a Trans Am and he was 19,,, nothing was going to happen,, really,,,,, invincible right?????? YA!!!!
Freebird Posted August 24, 2010 #7 Posted August 24, 2010 Absolutely amazing that he survived that. I won't be too critical of him, I was once 19 and indestructible also. I can remember my Chevelle SS 454 going airborne a few times. I am just glad that he didn't kill somebody else and hope that he learned from his stupid mistake.

Freebird -you're right as usual, I can remember my youth and for the grace of God I am typing this now. Perhaps I was too quick with the keyboard
Lone Eagle Posted August 24, 2010 #9 Posted August 24, 2010 WOW - that is amazing to see how high that car got airborne.
Yammer Dan Posted August 24, 2010 #10 Posted August 24, 2010 We can all look back at a few incidents that might make news.
BradT Posted August 25, 2010 #11 Posted August 25, 2010 I guess it is stupid but I think a few of us hit speeds like that, we just have not lost control, yet. Pretty amazing he is still alive. Brad
1 Canuck Posted August 25, 2010 #12 Posted August 25, 2010 Looks like Kitt from Knight Rider destroying itself? I'll shut-up now.
wes0778 Posted August 25, 2010 #13 Posted August 25, 2010 but he was doing so good 'til that nasty ole bridge got in the way...:yikes:
mrich12000 Posted August 25, 2010 #14 Posted August 25, 2010 Well his lawyer is going to state his throttle stuck wide open. Thats what I would say!!

I had the same "problem" with my 1970 GTO Judge. I was only 16 at the time that I had that car. Still amazed I didn't kill myself in that thing!
juggler Posted August 25, 2010 #16 Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) Looks like the car spun to the left and rolled so that the passenger side and bottom took the brunt of the hit on the overpass. If that car had spun the other way he'd be a wet spot on the overpass. I've had a car or two and my RSV airborne a few times, but nothing that impressive. Edited August 29, 2010 by juggler
Grandpagak Posted August 25, 2010 #17 Posted August 25, 2010 We can all look back at a few incidents that might make news. ditto!! i wasnt known for common sense!! my best friends dad always said that i was out of my elements.. now i think that he were right..
ArcsSparks Posted August 25, 2010 #18 Posted August 25, 2010 in the video you can see him bounce accross the freeway to the right ending up on the shoulder and than almost got run over by another car. This kid is lucky to be alive!! God watches out for fools and drunks (well most of the time)
