Bummer Posted August 24, 2010 #51 Posted August 24, 2010 In the past 40 years at least 16 bazillion cars have not turned in front of me. I attribute that to the fact that I was eating red beans and rice 2 hours before. If it works, go for it. I tried something similar, and for thirty five years it worked like a charm. Then I got run over. No beans. No rice. Midnight Venture with passing lamps on but no modulator. Oh well. Now I ride a Black Cherry Venture with a modulator. Beans and rice, optional.

Bummer Posted August 24, 2010 #53 Posted August 24, 2010 Yes but has to be Popeyes Beans and rice...Cajun Style! No doubt about it. The worst thing they ever did was discontinue the Cajun Popcorn. I just loved those little fried crawdad tails. (Not up to Cajun standards, no doubt, but as good as it gets in Indiana.)
mini-muffin Posted August 24, 2010 #54 Posted August 24, 2010 Well around here we have lots of bikes with modulating headlights. Matter of fact the state troopers around here recommend them. Also the emergency vehicles use wig wags and they flash way faster then any modulating headlight I've seen. Back to your discussion. Margaret
Jerry W Posted August 24, 2010 #55 Posted August 24, 2010 I stayed in a Holiday Inn once and no one pulled out in front of me while I was there.
Guest tx2sturgis Posted August 24, 2010 #56 Posted August 24, 2010 As Brian pointed out, it's your thread. You can call it what you want. To me, it looks like an amateurish attempt at pillorying modulator users. My mistake. Hey, all I meant by that is to say they solodadof2 was not actually 'on your back'...we are posting in response to his post, but to imply he is on your case....well...if we post in his thread, seems to me he has a right to defend and /or reinforce his position. We can choose to not read or post an opposing viewpoint, but if we DO...then we are subject to the original posters opinions. But that is NOT to say he or anyone else can spout crap and expect not to be opposed. You dont have to abide by his or anyone else's opinions...not even mine.
Solodadof2 Posted August 24, 2010 Author #57 Posted August 24, 2010 Hey Guys Awesome post, great feedback from both sides of the coin. If you like and use them and they make you feel safer when riding more power to you. I guess we can agree to disagree and appreciate a good discussion. I for the sake of understanding the other side I have rigged up a modulating head light on my Bike. I stole one of my wifes door wreath hangers which I have put over the windshield and have hung a mason jar full of firefly's on it. I have to figure out how to keep the flys alive! thanks for all the information and opinions guys!
Bummer Posted August 24, 2010 #58 Posted August 24, 2010 ... You dont have to abide by his or anyone else's opinions...not even mine. I understood. I also don't feel he's "on my back". And, it is his thread. He can pretend it's deeply scientific and well reasoned if he wants, as long as he doesn't mind if I chuckle.
