Sleeperhawks Mechanic Posted August 21, 2010 #1 Posted August 21, 2010 Hamburgers will never ever be the same again!!! :dancefool: Thanks to Etcswjoe and his wife, Bobbi, we learned of a great hamburger place right here in Columbia, just a few blocks from where I work! Pawley's Porch was featured in Diners Drive In's and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. Joe and Bobbi rode up from Charleston, Painterman and Shadow Queen rode down from North Carolina and Chuck who works with George joined us for the feasting! The fried pickles and calamri appetizers were outstanding and then the burgers arrived! Yum, yum! We are back at the house, waiting to sample some of the blueberry peach cobbler I made! Here are pictures! More to come later! http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y262/venturerider/Sleeperhawk%20Mechanics%20August%2021%20Pawleys%20Porch/

Looking at the pictures it looked like you all had a great day to ride . Tell me how does the pretzel roll taste as a hamburger bun? Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. Maybe next time! Both David and Laura had the pretzel roll and said it was delicious - The description as they put it is "a lot like a soft pretzel but not as chewy and good and held together well". Pawley's is definitely on our favorite list!
Uturn Posted August 22, 2010 #8 Posted August 22, 2010 Thanks Joe for the pictures. You done good!! Usually we never get to see Bobbie in pics, cause she is the official taker where she goes. Hard to get in there when you are the trigger person. Glad you guys made it back to Charleston ok. Maybe we meet in the future. Hope so! MIKE aka Uturn

I am not accustomed to being in the pictures either, I am usually the shutterbug so maybe now Bobbie will be in more pics too. I knew it was a good sign when we had almost identical cameras. I think my next trip to Norfolk instead of flying I am going to ride and hopefully I can meet some new Venture Riders on the way.
painterman67 Posted August 22, 2010 #11 Posted August 22, 2010 we finally made it back home. No pics from us as the wife is the shutter bug in our family. And she forget her camera. But lets just say that its a 7 hr or so round trip ride for us to get to Pawley's front porch and we will be back again as soon as we can work it in. That is one good place there, Thanks Joe for the suggestion. It was nice to meet you and you lovely wife Bobie( hope thats spelled wright). And for oyu guys who say its too far to ride we even had a Harley rider with us. It was nice meeting you as well Chuck. George and Bobbie as always your hospitality was outstanding. laura and I are extremely greatfull for the Room and Board. Between Bobbie's cooking anfd Pawley's bugers I think I gained 10 lbs. David
