rjjammer Posted August 19, 2010 #1 Posted August 19, 2010 Well after a few years I have finished it. I bought this in 2000, and its been a work in progress ever since. 86 Royale with 39,000 miles. Its was mechanically sound but had been abused and laid down several times. After lots of ebay and a donor bike this is the result. Thanks to everyone for the information and help in the tech sections. Robhttp://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=49172&d=1282237849

mm482 Posted August 19, 2010 #4 Posted August 19, 2010 Great job, I know you are proud of your work. How many miles have you put on it? Earl
jfoster Posted August 19, 2010 #5 Posted August 19, 2010 Need more pictures....I guess I'm one of the few that have never seen one in person. Maybe one day I'll get to ride one, they look like they would be a pleasure to ride.
Snaggletooth Posted August 19, 2010 #6 Posted August 19, 2010 Looks good. Nice job on it. Go ahead and brag and post some more pics. I'm up for it. It's kind of like I said when I started on mine. "I'm not rebuilding a bike, I'm building a new one." Don't ya think? Mike
rlyons Posted August 20, 2010 #7 Posted August 20, 2010 Looks great, I used to own one like it back in 93-94.
rjjammer Posted August 20, 2010 Author #8 Posted August 20, 2010 Yes it is like building a new one. I only got a shake down cruise in, 21 flawless miles. I have to leave today to go back to the sandbox. (Afghanistan) 41 more days and Ill be home, hopefully for good. Next summer I hope to shut the bike off only for oil changes! Ill post more pics when I get back to my FOB...
