Maybe you have some Cementite build up on on of the Rotors ??

Squeeze the information is good I read it before going out to break in the pads, I didn't get up past 40 because it just didn't feel right so I came home and asked the question that got all this going. Boy it's nice to be in contact with such nice helpful people, it really is. In the old days you were on you own or you had to bring it in for service.

If it is a buildup of Cementite how would you go about removing it from

the rotors?

Not on the Venture Jim. Did you remove the wheel? Did you get all the clips back in? The reason I ask is I don't remember ever having to fight to keep the pads on the caliper after pushing the plungers all the way back in

Buddy I didn't remove the tire and I don't have any parts left over. Funny that you mentioned the end clip though because I did leave the last one out, had the caliper back on the rotor went to reach for the bolts and low and behold sitting there next to the bolts a funny looking metal clip. Had to take it back apart and intall it since my extra's box was already full I didn't have a place to store it.........LOL

I learned not to tilt the caliper on it's side during the install, if you do the pads tend to fall a bit, not completly out but just far enough to get them out of the correct position on the end tabs. This is hard to explain I will have to take of picture of it.

The Options are listed in the Link Monsta provided ....

lower Half of Myth #1 ...

Please understand, i am not going to say that you have such a Cementite Buildup. It's just an Option like others Members already listed above.

I had my Share on Brakes and would sign a Lot of this Sites Statements, but not all of it. The Basics are what they are - FACTS ! But like others Issues, there are often more than just one Opinion. And a Lot more People have an Opinion....

This Discussion about Cementite came to my Mind and i thought that should mention it.

Pilot, when you change things such as brake pads there is always a different feel then when it had the old pads in it. Just try the break in procedures and give it at least 100 miles to seat. It sure sounds like there may be some oil in there somewhere. Even those rotors may look even and unridged to the naked eye may have some uneven areas from the old pad wear that you may not be able to see.

I'm on my way out to the garage to work :smash2: on (try a few ideas :scratchchin: I got last night) my front brakes. I will report back later when I have more information on what I find. I want to thank all of you for your help on this.

Found the left side rotor had a .003mm warp on it. So I rode :bikersmilie: down to the dealer to order a new rotor and this is how I fixed this issue along with any other issue I may have for the next 5 years, see attached picture.

Going out to the garage now and finish pulling all my acc of the 03, picking the new 07 up at 2pm today.

The mech told me that it was probable there but I didn't notice it until I replaced the pads. The new pads made it more prominent.
