flb_78 Posted August 18, 2010 #26 Posted August 18, 2010 Once again...I hear ya. But I didnt have the tools or a lift to get the wheel off, or tire spoons and tools to unseat the tire off the rim, or an air compressor to reseat the tire, and the J&P mechanic charged me $80 to remove the wheel, dismount and mount the tire, and reinstall on the bike. Not bad as rally prices go, but a waste of my time and money to have all that done and then just ride down the road on a patched tire in 100 degree heat, 80mph, fully loaded, 2 up, and pulling a loaded trailer. At any rate, its done and I'm home. I don't blame ya for replacing it. I doubt that they would have patched it anyways.
bj66 Posted August 19, 2010 #27 Posted August 19, 2010 like them nice quiet empty streets there. somehow they didnt look like that when i was down there. Here are a few more pics. The pic of the bike from the back is a triumph...way cool. The 2 pics of guys riding indoors are taken at the broken spoke. They have you drive through the 40,000 square foot bar before you park your bike. The 4th picture is looking down on Sturgis
